Dick and Edie Iverson
MINISTERS FELLOWSHIP INTERNATIONAL
PORTLAND, OREGON

MFI began as an organization in 1987 in response to a pressing need among pastors and leaders of independent churches for a sense of covering, accountability, identity and connection.
Pastor Dick Iverson, who at the time was the pastor of Bible Temple (now City Bible Church), was meeting many pastors and church leaders who felt like they were alone.  They had a distinct vision, a common value system and doctrinal distinctives that were compatible, but, apart from joining a traditional denomination, there was no vehicle through which they could associate themselves with other like minded leaders. In response to this cry, MFI was established to be that vehicle. MFI is an independent corporation set up for the sole purpose of linking ministers to ministers. It was established distinctly to provide for the strengthening of ministers all the while maintaining a high regard for the autonomy of every local church.
MFI provides an atmosphere where ministers of like vision can join together, minister to each other and find accountability, relationship, resources and apostolic assistance, and where their congregations can find identity on a national and international level.
MFI is not a denomination. It is a fellowship. For this reason, MFI does not credential ministries, hold church properties or maintain a central mission board. All of these are functions of the local church. MFI exists for the support of local church ministries and their churches.  MFI has grown worldwide into a fellowship of approximately 350 churches.

Bill and JoAnne Scheidler
CITY LIFE CHURCH
JOHANNESBURG, AFRICA

Bill Scheidler served as a pastor and elder at City Bible Church in Portland, Oregon from 1974-2005.  During that time he functioned as a professor at Portland Bible College specializing the Local Church, Pastoral Ministry and Church Planting.   For fifteen years he oversaw the Pastoral Department of the church and the church planting process.  He was actively involved in mentoring church planters within City Bible Church and also assisting other churches in developing their church planting ministries.  Bill worked along side of Dick Iverson and the Apostolic Leadership Team of Ministers Fellowship International (MFI) as the Administrator of MFI from 1997 to 2005. He currently serves as the International Director for MFI.  He is actively involved in training leaders, writing and assisting the growth and development of churches both nationally and internationally.  In October of 2005, He and his wife JoAnne moved to South Africa where they are assisting in the development of City Life Church in Johannesburg.  In January of 2006 Bill started a School of Ministry for the training of church leaders and church planting ministries for the southern Africa nations. He is the author and/or co-author of several books including The Local Church Today, Apostles, Growing Strong Churches, Present Day Truth and Principles of Church Life.

Bill and JoAnne are the proud parents of three children who have blessed them with eight grandchildren going on nine.  Their oldest daughter Jessi and her husband Brad Dvorak were the children’s pastors at City Bible Church and are currently establishing Church for Life in Auckland, New Zealand.  Their other daughter Gini and her husband James Monaghan are pastoring City Life Church that they pioneered just outside of Johannesburg, South Africa.  Their son Jason and his wife Karisa are elders and very involved with single adult ministry in a church in Graham, Washington about two hours north of Portland.

Brad and Jessi Dvorak
CHURCH FOR LIFE
AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND

In January 2006 Brad and Jessi Dvorak planted a church in the Hibiscus Coast of New Zealand.  The Hibiscus Coast is just north of New Zealand’s largest city Auckland, however the Hibiscus Coast is made up largely of a peninsula of land surrounded by ocean and so there is a strong sense of community where they live.

Their heart’s desire is to build a strong church that can bring the right influence and make a difference where ever they go, whatever they do and in whomever they reach.
Jesus said that in order to be salt and light we are to do good deeds in order that men may glorify God. So they believe initially that their plans are to help rebuild that trust in their community towards the church by serving them in what ever capacity they can.

They are also focusing on restoring those in the community that have walked away from the church. Their desire is through consistent seasons of prayer and fasting that they will see people return to the Lord and have their hope restored in the church.

Michael Boerner MISSION MEDIA
BOISE, IDAHO

Mission Media is a ministry founded in Boise in March of 1991.  They produce and air national quality media on secular TV, radio, print, and billboards in the “Treasure Valley” and around the nation.

A local board of directors, comprised of area pastors and business leaders provides oversight and guidance.  Local churches, businesses, Christian families, and foundations provide resources that enable they to accomplish their mission.

Over the past 15 years, God has provided Mission Media with very experienced ministry staff and state of the art production equipment.  Their Christ-centered media campaigns are tagged with the Christian Churches of the Treasure Valley logo, which focuses attention on the local church – God’s chosen instrument for reaching the world.

Within the “media footprint” of the greater Treasure Valley, there are over 582,000 people.  The Unity 3000 media objective is to reach 90% of that audience 10 times each month by placing hundreds of Christ-centered messages in virtually all forms of network media.

Theo and Zamfir Ciucui

Theo and Zamfir Ciucui
ROMANIA

God as called Theo and Zamfir Ciucui to be pioneers in Oradea and to have a great influence in their city and in Romania.  They are beginning to feel a difference in the community  and the relationships among the neighboring pastors.  All are longing now for unity in the city church.  Their church is growing and their influence is becoming stronger.  They are experiencing a new dimension in every ministry in their church.  The big problem they face now is space.  The youth ministry and the children’s ministry grew so much that they are using now the office rooms for their meetings.  The adults are also feeling revived.  All the facilities are completely used everyday from morning to evening. The community is shocked because they do not see any other church in the city that offers programs for the people who are not church members.

They have been working hard to finish a building by summer 2006 which will solve many of their problems.  They will have 8 rooms for the youth and children’s ministry, 6 classrooms for school and bible college, 2 classrooms and other facilities for kindergarten, 10 rooms for a clinic, 30 dormitories and a 300 square meter cafeteria.
