Revival Chinese Ministries-Hong Kong, China
Pastor Dennis Balcombe is one of the great 20th and 21st century missionaries in China. His call to a closed-off communist China in the 1960's seemed like an impossibility in the midst of what looked like a hopeless situation, but it did not deter him from leaving his life in the United States for Hong Kong to minister to the people of China in 1969, and what is now Revival Chinese Ministries.
Dennis was raised in California and found the Lord as a teenager. In 1963, he received the call to minister in China, and in 1967 was drafted into the army to serve in Vietnam. During his tour in the military, he visited Hong Kong and saw the great need for the Gospel. He was soon commissioned by Shiloh Christian Fellowship out of California to serve as a missionary in China.
The Gospel has continued to spread and believers are now estimated to be approximately 70 to 100 million people--that’s 7% of the 1.3 billion Chinese people! Dennis has seen miracles done in the lives of the people he ministers to, including seeing the dead rise and powerful baptism of the Holy Spirit to those who have asked. Believers meet all over, from house churches to Revival Christian Church, where Dennis is the founding and current pastor.
With the Word of God, the power of the Holy Spirit, and teaching and training new leaders, the mission God called Dennis to has seen revival in China, even as the country has remained under a communist government.
Dennis and his wife, Kathy, raised their family, including daughter Sharon and son Michael, in Hong Kong. Revival Chinese Ministries International has several offices overseas and teams from the organization now travel and minister in areas all over Asia, Europe, North and South America, and the Pacific.
